Claude Loewer (1917-2006), is a Swiss artist. He moved to Paris where he studied at the Ranson and Colarossi academies, and in 1937 he was accepted at the Ecole nationale supérieure des beaux-arts. In 1940 he moved back to Switzerland. He lived and worked in Montmollin most of his life.

Claude Loewer designed his first cartoon in 1953. At first he produced mostly figurative works, but he quickly switched to geometric abstraction.
